Gordon-Emmett results

Based on reporting from all the teams involved, here are the final results. Since there were only 12 teams at this event, per the rules, the fourth (D) event does not count as a final, so no bonus points are awarded for the D event.

Fitzgerald - 90 points
2 C event wins for 30 points each = 60
1 C event loss for 30 points
Brown - 185 points
1 B event win - 30 points
1 C event win - 30 points
C finals win - 125 points
Brooks - 60 points
1 B event win - 30 points
B finals loss - 30 points
Tyner - 155 points
1 A event win - 125 points
D finals win - 30 points

Top three teams are Austin, Tyner, Brooks. Prize payouts from the pool of $3450 are $1897.50, $966 and $586.50 respectively.

Thanks to everyone for participating and hopefully this will continue for many more years with a bigger purse and more teams.

Jeff,

This won't make a difference in the prize money standings, so I won't push too hard, but I think the C event is the event to drop from the bonus points.

In order to get to the B or D, you can only have one loss. You can make it to the C final with two losses.

I've always thought of the D winner as having come in 3rd in the tournament.

The rules stated that the "lower events" would lose their bonus points. Seems to me that the C event is a "lower event" than the D.

For your consideration,

I got the same comment from someone else. It depends on the draw. If we can get the draws in advance then something could be done before the event. I don't think adjusting after the event is right.

Also, some draws are different. The Douglas has the first event semi losers going to the 5th event and the 6th event would have been dropped there. So that would have been fine. It is hard to determine what is a "lower" draw. In a standard 4 event draw, it is possible that all winners of the B,C and D only have one loss.
